A quick channel update, and possibly a contest?

March 21st, 2013 at 09:46 0

So video 72 has been posted. wow!

I’m doodling around the concept of the VLOG, and it will be launched as video 100. ;) so there is time to spread the word.
I am not sure how often these will be posted, so you have the opportunity to have something to say about that. And in addition to what I have planned already I would also want some suggestions on what you would like me to talk about in the VLOGs.

Hit me back with a reply and come up with suggestions and if they are good there might be a prize as well. I do have some Steam gift keys that I could use for just this.

The Kerbal spacerace has begun

February 1st, 2013 at 11:07 0

AKoM in SpaceI have taken a great leap for Kerbal-kind, and started recording the gameplay, and not just use screenshots.
So far I have one satellite up that maps Kerbin, and five communication satellites. The communication satellites are required through a mod I am using.

I will keep launching those satellites, but I will leave that “off-camera” as I don’t think it’s fun for you to watch me launch say thirty of the same design over and over again. Spaceplanes are on the agenda as well, and might even make it in to the next episode I will post.

I have some plans set for projects that we will see me do in videos, and these are so far:

  • Build a communication relay system (started).
  • Build a spacestation, with orbital construction.
  • Visit all planets and moons.
  • Map all planets and moons.
  • Build a spaceplane with docking capabilities for crew and supplies transfer to the spacestation.
  • Build a plane for exploring Kerbin.
  • Visit all easter eggs with personell (not just automated rovers)

RemoteTech

More Ion-engines

Minecraft, an why I think it works.

November 9th, 2012 at 23:43 0

On our new site, One Third Off Gaming, I have written an article about Minecraft, and my thoughts about the game and why I believe it is a success.

An oil refinery in a modified game of Minecraft

For those of you who doesn’t know already Minecraft is a hugely successful indie game created by a Swedish company called Mojang. It was started by Notch, or Markus Persson if we are to call him by his real name. Originally it was created as a single person project inspired by games like Dwarf Fortress.

Notch thought that an open world with full freedom for the player was a compelling setting where you could let your imagination run free.

Head over to the new site, and let us know your thoughts.

Changes in the crew, and changes to the system.

November 9th, 2012 at 21:39 0

A lot of things have happened since the last post.

We were getting some new authors to this site, and then I had a discussion with Michael about it where we came to the conclusion that this site was not ideal for the purpose.

We ended up starting a new site where we will gather fellow gamers and writers to post their news, thoughts and reviews about the games they enjoy.

The new site is called One Third Off Gaming and we will all contribute there. This does not mean that this page will shut down, far from it. But it means that I will be the sole writer for this page. My series of blogs, videos and various rants about games, gamers and gaming will still end up here. But I will also post reviews, previews and other game-related articles on One Third Off.

I am looking forward to see you all both here and on the new site, and I hope you will all enjoy them as much as we do.

Welcome our new crew.

October 18th, 2012 at 17:51 0

Three new people have now joined our crew, and will be giving you articles, commentaries, news, videos and so on. Michael is our inhouse designer, and contributor. Natte, Rune and Zhiphius will be contributing at random intervals and about random stuff.

I know I am looking forward to see what they do come up with here.

In other news there will be a redesign of the page itself, and the way the content is structured. Michael is our “in house” designer and will have some say (read “the final decicion”) on how the design turns out.

So again we must welcome the new contributors and look to a bright future for the site.

An ongoing series of screenshots will be posted here.

If you want I can make some videos of this game as well. I’ll let you all decide on that.

Technic Lets play.

October 11th, 2012 at 14:17 0

I’ve finally got a Technic LetsPlay going, the first videos are already up and can be found on my YouTube Channel.

So far, I have managed to build a makeshift house, with an awesome pool underneath. My farm is almost up and running and we will be getting into the technic stuff very soon. (more…)

I’ve started playing the Arma2 mod DayZ, and it is an awesome mod.

This is my first recorded session from the game, but not my first session.

You can check out the adventure here:
